GMRS Licensing Instructions (Short)
Below is the process for navigating the FCC system for the GMRS License The FCC site is challenging to navigate and Cores doesn’t link to the Licensing pages needed to start the application. Once you’re registered in Cores, it takes a while on the FCC side to sync your FRN to your UserID (Email). Syncing between Cores and FCC’s FRN does happen automagically, but it takes more than 5 minutes and you will get a login errors on the License page if you don’t wait for the sync to finish. Give it at least 15 mins, or an hour, or overnight (overnight worked when building this guide).
